Have you seen KPop Demon Hunters yet? You should. Right now, ideally. It’s a dynamite burst of kinetic animation, heartfelt and hilarious, filled with musical bangers, and a shot across the bow of much of modern American film, animated or otherwise. It’s also steeped in Korean culture and history in a wonderful way that enriches its narrative and that makes you think about what other historical events are so crazy-sounding that they could be movie material. Now you’re probably asking yourself, ‘Was that all just a clumsy segue into an AskReddit post?’, and the answer is obviously: ‘Obviously, yes. Obviously.’ But you should still watch KPop Demon Hunters.
